Congrats on completing your course! As we often say at the end of our 8-week courses – this is the end of your course and the beginning of the rest of your life!
This journey to know yourself better is an adventure that never ends. What you practice often, becomes the habit of your mind. Hopefully you now have many new practices to develop a happy, relaxed, and dare we say it – peaceful mind.
Still, we know from experience that from time to time we get distracted by other less important but urgent things, become confused or unmotivated and our practice drops away – despite best intentions.
So we’re offering plenty of chances to help you keep practicing, keep discovering and keep opening to the mystery and joy of being alive!
You could think of us like a gentle prodding stick – reminding you of what’s important, of what you got out of your initial course, and perhaps what still lies before you…

The day will be in silence, and you will be lead through a range of mindfulness practices.
Cost: $65.00 (limited spaces available)

Morning and afternoon tea provided.
It’s easy to get caught up in the responsibilities and stress of the day-to-day and forget to take time for yourself.
Join this wonderfully nourishing and restorative day of mindfulness to care for yourself. A chance to refresh, renew, and recalibrate your mind and body.
Join us in the beautiful setting of the Mary MacKillop Centre in Kohimarama.
The day will be in silence and you will be led through a range of mindfulness practices.
Please bring your own lunch and clothing appropriate for the weather (we’ll be spending some time outside).

Day of Mindfulness – Cancellation policy:
We understand that life can be unpredictable, and we aim to be as flexible as possible while also ensuring the smooth running of the day.
More than 30 days notice: You’re eligible for a refund (less a $5 administration fee) or you can transfer to our next available date.
14-30 days’ notice: You’re welcome to transfer to our next available date. If we’re able to fill your spot, we’ll offer a refund (less a $5 administration fee).
Less than 14 days’ notice: Unfortunately, refunds can’t be provided for cancellations within 14 days of the retreat date.
We appreciate your understanding of this policy, which enables us to maintain the quality of our retreat days and support all participants effectively.

Mindfulness Practice Sessions
With Eve Rudkin
Our lovely colleague Eve is offering regular mindfulness sessions – both online and in person from her space in Meadowbank, Auckland.
Each session includes:
- A short talk to introduce the theme
- Gentle, mindful movement
- Guided mindfulness meditation
- Optional group reflection and discussion
These are friendly, relaxed sessions for those who have completed an MBSR course.

We’re delighted to share that Bob Stahl and Jan Landry, two highly respected mindfulness teachers from the United States, will be leading a week-long silent mindfulness retreat here in Aotearoa in May 2026.
The retreat, The Elemental Nature of All Things, will be held at Mana Retreat Centre in the Coromandel – a stunning, peaceful setting overlooking native forest and sea.
Bob and Jan are deeply experienced MBSR teachers, known for their warmth, clarity, and genuine care. Their retreat weaves together the foundations of mindfulness as taught in MBSR with insights from Buddhist practice, offered in a way that’s down-to-earth and accessible for everyone.
It’s a rare opportunity to practise with teachers of this calibre in New Zealand. If you’ve ever thought about attending a residential retreat, this would be a wonderful first one – beautifully held, spacious, and rooted in the spirit of mindful awareness.
For those interested in mindfulness teacher training, this retreat also meets some of the retreat requirements for MBSR and other training pathways.
